Ralph Ugboko
Clemson, SC

I’m an AI systems builder, technical program leader, and Human-Centered Computing Ph.D. researcher working at the intersection of agentic AI, product development, enterprise technology, and human-centered design.

My background spans engineering, financial services, business intelligence, enterprise technology, HCI research, and AI product development. Across those settings, I’ve learned to translate ambiguous problems into requirements, experiments, system architectures, and execution plans, then work across technical and business teams to turn them into measurable outcomes.

Today, I work on Quizzibility, an AI-powered platform for interactive learning and assessment, and draw on enterprise reporting and architecture work from DC Water. These experiences bring together hands-on implementation, LLM workflows, experimentation, data quality, and technical program execution.

The value of AI is not just in what it can do, but in how it changes what people do.

I’m focused on technical program and AI product roles where I can lead complex AI, data, and enterprise-system initiatives from ambiguous requirements through implementation, evaluation, and adoption.

How the pieces connect

A progression toward building and leading AI systems

Each chapter added a capability I now use to move complex technical work forward.

01
2014 — 2019

Project execution foundation

Civil engineering and construction

Early engineering and construction work taught me to coordinate people, schedules, dependencies, documentation, and delivery constraints.

02
2020 — 2021

Customer, data, and decision systems

Banking and business intelligence

Banking and analytics work moved me closer to customer workflows, reporting, dashboards, data quality, and decision support.

03
2021 — 2023

Technical program leadership

KPMG Nigeria

I coordinated digital banking and payments initiatives across countries, vendors, technology teams, risks, roadmaps, and executive stakeholders.

04
2023 — 2025

Human-centered systems

DRIVE Lab, Clemson University

Research added depth in usability, accessibility, safety-critical systems, human behavior, experimentation, and human-machine interaction.

05
2026 — Present

AI systems and enterprise intelligence

Quizzibility and DC Water

My current work brings those threads together through LLM workflows, AI product development, enterprise reporting, architecture, requirements, and hands-on implementation.

How I work
01

Structure ambiguous problems into executable plans

02

Translate between technical, business, and user perspectives

03

Define requirements, dependencies, risks, and success measures

04

Understand systems deeply enough to challenge assumptions

05

Use data and research to guide product and program decisions

06

Build or prototype when doing so accelerates alignment

07

Keep humans, stakeholders, and real workflows in the loop

08

Drive initiatives from requirements through implementation and adoption

Where I’m headed

I’m building toward a career at the intersection of AI systems, product, and technical leadership, where human-centered thinking and disciplined execution make complex AI useful, trustworthy, and scalable.

Beyond work

Outside of AI systems and technical programs, I enjoy tennis, strength training, exploring museums and aquariums, and finding new places to learn from.

Exploring aquariums and finding new things to learn.
Tennis, movement, and time away from the screen.
Strength training as part of a regular routine.
Trying something challenging and staying active.
